Sharing Your Invitation

Once you've completed your invitation, it's time to send it to your guests! You can share it in several convenient ways.

Before You Share

1. Check Your Invitation's Public Status

To share your invitation, it must first be in "Published" status.

  1. Go to Dashboard > Collections
  2. Find your invitation card
  3. Verify the status shows "Published"

Warning: If the status is "Draft", others won't be able to view the link even if you share it. Click the "Publish" button first!

2. Set OG Image (Optional)

To make your invitation look great when shared on WhatsApp or social media, it's recommended to set an OG image.

  • See the OG Settings Guide for details
  • Sharing is still possible without it, but the thumbnail image may not appear

Sharing Methods

This is the simplest and most frequently used method.

Steps:

  1. Find your invitation card in Dashboard > Collections
  2. Click the "Copy Link" button
  3. Confirm the "Link copied!" message
  4. Paste wherever you want (Ctrl+V or Cmd+V)

Share it like this:

  • Paste into WhatsApp group chats
  • Send via text message
  • Include in emails
  • Add to Instagram profile link
  • Insert into blog posts

Tip: Sending a short message along with the link makes it more personal!

Example: "Hello! Here's our wedding invitation. Please let us know if you can attend! [link]"

Method 2: Download QR Code

QR codes are useful for printing on paper invitations or posters.

Steps:

  1. Click the "Download QR" button on the invitation card
  2. The QR code image downloads automatically
  3. Use the image wherever you need

QR Code Usage Examples:

  • Paper Invitations: Print and attach the QR code to paper invitations
  • Welcome Board: Display a large QR code at the venue entrance
  • Invitation Envelopes: Print small on the back of envelopes
  • Posters: Add to event announcement posters

Tip: When printing QR codes, make them at least 3cm x 3cm in size. If they're too small, they may not scan properly!

Method 3: Share Directly via Messaging Apps

You can easily share your invitation link through WhatsApp or other messaging apps.

How to share:

  1. Copy the link using the "Copy Link" button
  2. Open WhatsApp or your preferred messaging app
  3. Paste the link in a chat or send to contacts

Advantages:

  • Automatic thumbnail images appear (with OG settings)
  • One-click access to the invitation
  • Share with multiple people at once in group chats

Method 4: Share on Social Media

You can also share on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and more.

Instagram Sharing:

  1. Copy the link
  2. Edit your Instagram profile
  3. Paste the link in the "Website" field
  4. Post a story or feed post saying "Check link in profile!"

Facebook Sharing:

  1. Copy the link
  2. Create a Facebook post
  3. Paste the link
  4. The thumbnail image appears automatically (with OG settings)

Tip: Social media sharing is great for reaching many people. However, for personal events, sending individual messages via WhatsApp or text is more courteous.

To confirm your shared link works properly:

  1. Click the "View Public Page" button on the invitation card
  2. Check how the actual invitation appears in a new window
  3. Open it on your mobile phone to verify the mobile view

Checklist: Verify these before sharing!

  • Is the invitation in "Published" status?
  • Is all information (date, time, location) accurate?
  • Do all photos display correctly?
  • Is the OG image set? (for social media sharing)
  • Does it display well on mobile?
  • Does the link open properly when clicked?

Managing After Sharing

If you want to change the link:

Warning: If you change the link, the previously shared links will no longer work! You'll need to send the new link to everyone again.

Currently, there is no link changing feature. Please publish carefully from the start!

Cancel Sharing (Convert to Private)

If you want to stop sharing:

  1. Find the invitation on the Collections page
  2. Click the "Unpublish" button
  3. The status changes to "Draft"
  4. The invitation won't be visible even if people access the link

Frequently Asked Questions

Check these:

  • Is the invitation in "Published" status?
  • Did you copy the complete link?
  • Is your internet connected?

Solutions:

  1. Check the status on the Collections page
  2. Test using "View Public Page" first
  3. Copy and share the link again

The QR code won't scan

Check these:

  • Is the QR code printed clearly?
  • Is the size large enough? (minimum 3cm x 3cm)
  • Is there sufficient lighting?
  • Is the camera pointed vertically at the QR code?

Solutions:

  • Print the QR code larger
  • Use a high-quality printer
  • Leave enough white space around the QR code

The thumbnail doesn't appear on WhatsApp

This is because the OG image hasn't been set.

Solution:

  1. See the OG Settings Guide
  2. Upload an OG image
  3. Share the link again

Note: Already shared links may not update the thumbnail. Share it again to show the thumbnail!

Currently, only one link is provided per invitation. However:

  • You can share the same link in multiple places
  • The same invitation appears regardless of who opens the link or where

You can see view counts, but not who viewed it.

  • Check "Views" in Dashboard > Collections
  • See the Analytics Guide for detailed statistics
