Greeting
Learn how to write your invitation greeting message and set up its style and photo.
Greeting
This section lets you write the invitation message for your guests. You can choose a style, add a photo, and even include the parents' names.
What is the Greeting section?
- 6 styles: classic / letter / card / quote / typography / editorial
- Add a photo: insert a photo to display alongside the greeting
- Parents' names: for weddings, both sets of parents' names; for other categories (first birthday, party, etc.), the host's name
- AI-written text: generate a greeting draft with one click
Setting it up
Set up in the editor
- Select the Greeting section on the left side of the editor
- Configure the following fields:
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Greeting style | Choose from classic / letter / card / quote / typography / editorial |
| Title | Heading shown at the top of the greeting |
| Image | Optional, displayed alongside the greeting |
| Image style | Full width / rounded / circular (shown only when an image is set) |
| Host | Shown for non-wedding categories (first birthday, party, etc.) |
| Message content | The body message |
| Parents' names | Shown for weddings, entered separately for each side |
The available fields change depending on the category. Weddings show a field for the parents' names, while first birthdays, parties, and similar categories show a field for the host's name.
Greeting styles
- Classic: A basic aligned layout
- Letter: A layout that feels like a letter
- Card: Text placed inside a card-shaped box
- Quote: Emphasized in a quotation style
- Typography: A layout centered on typography, emphasizing font size and placement
- Editorial: A magazine-style layout that makes use of white space
Writing your greeting with AI
Click the AI button above the content field to jump to the AI writing tab and get a greeting draft. Feel free to edit the draft however you like before using it.
If writing it yourself feels difficult, we recommend getting an AI draft first and then just refining the personal details, like names, dates, and locations.
Using a background color
Turning on the Use background color toggle applies the template's accent background color to the Greeting section. Use this when you want to adjust the color contrast with other sections.
