Opening Animation
The opening animation is a cinematic intro that plays the moment a guest opens your invitation. Combine a photo slideshow with text and music to create a memorable first impression.
Go to the Design tab in the editor, then scroll down to find the Opening Animation section.
Enabling the Feature
Toggle Enable at the top of the Opening Animation section to reveal all options.
After enabling, add at least one photo — the animation will be skipped if no photos are added.
Adding Photos
You can add up to 4 photos displayed as a slideshow.
Upload Photos
Tap Add Photo to select images from your image manager.
Recommended photo setup:
- Photo 1: Your main couple or subject photo
- Photo 2: A scenic or atmospheric location
- Photos 3–4: Different angles or styling
Vertical (9:16) photos look best on mobile screens.
Reorder Photos
Drag and drop photos to rearrange the playback order.
Focal Point
Click any photo to set its focal point (top, center, bottom, etc.) so that faces or key subjects are always in view.
Playback Settings

In Once mode, returning guests on the same device will skip the opening and go straight to the invitation.
Slide Styles
Choose how photos transition between each other:

Color Mode
Sets the overall mood of the opening:

Names & Date Mode
- Show Names: Displays names in
Name & Nameformat - Show Date: Displays the wedding date (month.day)

Custom Mode
Enter up to 5 lines of free text.
Text animation styles:

Font Settings
Choose a font for the text. Fonts supporting your language appear first, followed by decorative Latin fonts.
Use the slider to adjust font size.
Pairing with Background Music
Background music starts playing when the opening animation begins. Set up your music in the Background Music section, also under the Design tab.
Opening animation + background music together create the most impactful first impression for your guests.
FAQ
The opening animation isn't playing → Make sure at least one photo has been added. Enabling the feature without photos will skip the animation entirely.
Guests say they didn't see the opening → Switch Play Mode to Always. The default "Once" setting skips the opening on repeat visits from the same device.
It looks great on mobile but awkward on desktop → Vertical (9:16) photos are optimized for mobile. For desktop, try adding wider photos or setting the focal point to center.
