Image Upload and Image Manager

For every section that needs images—hero, gallery, and more—you upload and apply photos through the Image Manager. Once a photo is uploaded, it can be reused across multiple sections.

What Is the Image Manager?

  • Unified photo library: Manage every photo used in your template in one place
  • Multi-select: Select multiple photos at once to bulk apply them to a gallery, etc., or bulk delete them
  • Usage indicators: Badges show which photos are used in which sections
  • Filters: View all photos, only photos in use, or only unused photos
  • Crop editing: Crop or sharpen a photo even after it's been uploaded

Uploading Photos

How to Upload

  1. In any field that needs an image (e.g., hero background, gallery), click the Select Image button to open the Image Manager
  2. Drag and drop files into the upload area at the top, or click it to choose files
  3. You can select and upload multiple photos at once

The number of remaining upload slots is shown on screen. Once the slots are full, the upload area is disabled and a notice appears. See Pricing for the image count limits by plan.

Sharpen Option

Below the upload area is a Sharpen toggle.

This option only applies to photos uploaded after the toggle is turned on. It is not applied retroactively to photos already uploaded, so be sure to turn the toggle on first, then select/drop your files. If you've already uploaded a photo you want sharpened, turn the toggle on and upload it again.

Selecting Photos

Uploaded photos are shown at the top of the Image Manager in a grid of square thumbnails. Each thumbnail itself acts as the selection button.

  • Click a thumbnail: Selects that single photo. Once selected, a blue circular checkmark appears in the top-left corner of the thumbnail and a blue ring appears around its border—use this indicator to confirm whether a photo is selected. Clicking the same thumbnail again deselects it.
  • Shift + Click: Selects all photos between the last thumbnail you clicked and the one you just Shift+clicked (range selection). For example, clicking photo 1 and then Shift+clicking photo 5 selects photos 1 through 5.
  • Select All / Deselect All: Buttons at the bottom of the Image Manager that select or deselect all thumbnails currently visible under the active filter (all / in use / unused).

The number of selected photos is shown in the bottom action bar as "N selected." Check this number before deleting or applying to confirm your selection is correct.

Applying Multiple Photos at Once

  1. Select multiple photos you want to apply
  2. Click the Apply to Section button at the bottom
  3. Choose the section (field) to apply them to

Fields that accept multiple photos (marked with a "Multiple" badge), such as a gallery, will add all selected photos at once. On the other hand, fields that accept only one photo (marked with a "1 photo" badge), such as a hero background, will show a warning and won't apply if you try to apply 2 or more selected photos—select just 1 photo and try again.

Deleting Multiple Photos at Once

  1. Click each photo thumbnail you want to delete to select it. Confirm that a blue checkmark appears in the top-left corner of the thumbnail each time you click—no checkmark means it isn't selected. If you have a consecutive run of photos, click the first one and then Shift+click the last one to select everything in between at once.
  2. Confirm that "N selected" in the bottom action bar matches the number of photos you intend to delete.
  3. Click the Delete Selected button
  4. A deletion toast appears, and you can cancel using the Undo button within 5 seconds

Deleting in the Image Manager only removes the photos on screen—actual deletion from storage happens when you save the template. If you delete something by mistake, recover it via the 5-second Undo before saving, or by re-uploading after saving.

Checking and Removing Photo Usage

  • Photos already used in another section display a green pin badge; hovering over it shows a list of which sections use it
  • Use the In Use / Unused filter to view only photos matching that status
  • When you select a photo that's in use, the Remove button lets you remove it from a specific section only, or from all sections at once

Editing Photos (Crop)

  1. Double-click a photo, or select just 1 photo and click the Edit button
  2. Adjust the crop area and finish editing
  3. The edited photo is uploaded as a new file, and any sections it was applied to are updated automatically

You can only edit one photo at a time. The Edit button doesn't appear when multiple photos are selected.

Adding Multiple Image Sections for Flexible Layouts

Sections that contain images (hero, gallery, etc.) can have multiple instances of the same type added. There's no limit on the number, so you can freely arrange your layout however you'd like to present your photos.

Examples:

  • Add 2 hero sections—use a single striking photo for the opening screen, then place another hero further down to shift the mood
  • Split your gallery into multiple sections organized by theme, like a "Our Story" photo album and a "Venue" photo album

How to Add a Section

  1. Click the blue + button in the editor to open a dropdown list of sections you can add
  2. Select the section you want to add again from the list (e.g., Gallery)—there's no limit, even if that section type already exists
  3. The newly added section appears at the bottom of the list

Reordering

Grab the drag handle (≡ icon) next to each section and drag it up or down to move it wherever you'd like. For example, you can freely place 2 gallery sections in between hero sections.

Each section has its own independent set of photos—photos added to one gallery section don't automatically appear in another gallery section. However, any photo uploaded once to the Image Manager can be reused and applied across multiple sections.
