Settings Tab (Password & RSVP Deadline)

The Settings tab in the editor is where you manage who can view your invitation and when registrations close. These apply to the whole invitation rather than to an individual section.

What the Settings tab covers

SettingApplies toWhat it does
Password protectionAll categoriesOnly people with the password can view
RSVP deadlineWhen an RSVP section existsBlocks registrations after the deadline

Search visibility isn't set here. For business events, it's managed under Dashboard > Collections > Share setup — you choose it when you first publish (step 3), and after publishing you can turn it on or off anytime in step 1. See Discover — Browsing and Listing Events for details.

The event date and timezone are entered in the Event Date & Time section, and the venue in the Location/Map section. You don't edit those from the Settings tab.

Password protection

Use this when you want only family and friends to see the invitation, or for internal company events you'd rather keep off the public web.

Setting it up

  1. Open the Settings tab in the editor
  2. Switch on Password protection
  3. Enter your password in the Password field
  4. Save

When a visitor opens your invitation URL, a lock screen appears first and they need the password to see the content.

Changing or removing the password

  • Change: enter a new password in the field and save. Leave it blank to keep the current one.
  • Remove: switch it off and save.

A saved password can't be viewed again. For security, the stored value is never shown on screen, so if you forget it, set a new password instead.

It can't be combined with search visibility

Password protection and search visibility can't be used at the same time, because a page search engines can't open can't be listed in search results.

  • Turn on password protection → search visibility switches off automatically
  • Turn on search visibility → password protection is removed automatically

If you want to stay out of search but still let anyone with the link open it right away, don't set a password — just turn search visibility off. People who have the link can still open it; it simply won't appear in search results.

RSVP deadline

Sets how long you accept registrations. This option only appears once you've added an RSVP section.

Setting it up

  1. Open the Settings tab in the editor
  2. Switch on RSVP deadline
  3. Pick a date and time under Deadline (the time defaults to 18:00)
  4. Save

Once the deadline passes, the registration form is disabled and no further entries are accepted.

The deadline follows the event timezone

The deadline is interpreted in the event's timezone. If your event timezone is New York and you set the deadline to 18:00, it closes at 18:00 New York time — not in whatever timezone your guests happen to be in.

Set the timezone before the deadline. If you haven't picked one in the Event Date & Time section, the deadline falls back to the default timezone (Asia/Seoul), which is unlikely to be what you want. When you're browsing from another region, a notice appears in the settings screen with Set to my timezone, which applies your current timezone right away.

See Event Date & Time section for how to set the timezone.

Frequently asked questions

I set a password and search visibility turned off

That's expected. The two can't be used together, so switching on a password removes search visibility automatically.

I forgot my password

Saved passwords can't be retrieved. Set a new one from the Settings tab.

I don't see the RSVP deadline in the Settings tab

It only appears once an RSVP section has been added. Add the RSVP section in the editor first.

I want to keep accepting registrations past the deadline

Switch RSVP deadline off and registrations stay open indefinitely. Your plan's maximum response limit still applies.

What happens to registrations already received when the deadline hits?

They're kept. The deadline only blocks new entries — existing responses remain available in your dashboard.
